“A Little Lift” is a personalized
service care provider for the people of the Comox
Valley (Comox, Courtenay, Cumberland). We are much more than just a simply taxi service for seniors. We assist seniors and
anyone else who needs our type of assisted homecare and transportation service. We provide
companionship; will take you or your loved ones on outings (appointments,
shopping, dining, sightseeing, exercise, etc) and we will stay right with our
special guests throughout the outing. We
will even put away the groceries, play cards or just sit and chat. We will take
your pet to the vet, with or without you and your pet is always welcome on our
outings. If you are feeling lonely or just want to get out for a nice drive or a
simple walk, it will be our pleasure to assist you with this type of care
support assisted transport
outing. No job is too big
or too small. We have been serving this community for over five years now.
We are a Limited Company, licensed, insured and bonded.
All our vehicles are properly insured for the assisted homecare transportation service we
provide. We were the very first personalized service care provider in the Comox
Valley
and look forward to working with you or your loved ones.

Out of town family members can trust that their loved ones are being cared for in a personal, professional and responsible manner as our
testimonials will attest.
We will also do telephone reassurance security checks which provide support to isolated or homebound persons through regular telephone contact.
We can even provide one-to-one service for clients during doctor
appointments, hospital stays or after admission to an assisted living
facility. We will ensure that they (and you) are aware of the
information being provided by the professional, and/or ensure that they
receive the high level of personal care and companionship they deserve.

Transportation Services for Seniors and Others
Sometimes getting to the hospital or appointments can be very challenging. Our team
can ease your mind. We come and pick you up, transport you to your
appointment and stay right with you
providing total care and support. We will take notes on your behalf
from professional care providers (doctors, specialists) plus assist you
with picking up medical prescriptions or booking further medical
appointments. We will then get you back home safe and sound and will
notify your family to pass on information from your professional if
needed. Wheelchairs and walkers can be accommodated.

Transportation for Shopping
We are happy to go shopping with you or for you.
All of our team members are very patient and understanding. We will make sure that you get everything you need.
This does not have to be just for day to day living. Special occasions,
Christmas, Birthdays etc. can be very stressful for our senior citizens or
the disabled, and this can be compounded when they cannot purchase
personal gifts due to their limited mobility. We will provide that
assistance and mobility. We will even carry your groceries or gifts into your home and put them
away or help to wrap them !

In Home Services
There is no limit to what we can do for you or your loved one. We
can help a senior pack for a trip, secure their home and then take them to
the airport, bus depot, ferry or....We will handle their luggage, ensure
that they are checked in and placed into the care of the transportation
provider. We can even keep an eye on their home while they are away
and arrange to pick them up on their return. We can provide light
housekeeping services and even play cards, do a puzzle or just 'chit chat'
while we get the heavy laundry done. We can help you or a loved one
remain independent. |

Your Pet To the Vet
A lot of our clients have pets as companions in their home.
We are more then happy to transport these little friends to vet appointments or to grooming
appointments whether you come with them or not. They
are welcome to come along on our transportation outings, or walks too.
